Mar’14 till Current:  Project Manager with CS Offshore - UAE. (based in China)

Project Head & Owner's Rep. for on-site supervision & take over of  new build  Platform Supply Vessels at Fujian Funing Shipyard & Mawei shipyard near Fuzhou, China.  ( ABS Class, UMS, DP2, FiFi 1,  twin screw with azimuth & bow thrusters). Supervised all aspects of shipbuilding (hull / machinery / electrical/ pipe lines / navigation, communication & safety equipments etc), rectification of defects, sea trials, liaison with Class & Port state,  crewing, initial fills etc up to the delivery of the vessels.

Responsibilities :

• Oct’09 to Aug’11 (based in Mumbai): Owner’s representative for on-site supervision of their new Double hull Oil Tanker (Bunker barge) being built in Mercator MechMarine Shipyard (off Mumbai). Responsible for all technical aspects  overseeing the construction of the new building in Mercator MechMarine Shipyard as per specs & advising on marine statutory requirements, liaison with class etc. till the delivery of the vessel in UAE. Also carried out pre-purchase inspections of tankers in Egypt / UAE etc. for addition to Company's fleet.

Headed the start-up project for the 100% subsidiary of Central Industry Group NV, Netherlands - the global leader in Shipbuilding services, Shipbuilding pre-fabrication & Ship’s equipment, providing high-quality products & integrated project services to the international maritime sector. The Co. had set up a new state-of-the-art facility near Mangalore port - to manufacture and supply precise-fit building assemblies, made from cut-to-size, three dimensionally formed steel plates to the ship building industry in India & the Asia Pacific region. We had a back to back arrangement for supplies to TEBMA Shipyard at Malpe, Karnataka for their new building offshore vessels.

May’06 till Dec’08:  CEO with TATA AutoComp GY Batteries Pvt. Ltd. 

Headed the start-up project of the Tata Group which is a JV between TACO – Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd. & GS Yuasa of Japan (world’s largest automotive batteries manufacturer) to manufacture all kinds of automotive batteries, two-wheeler & inverter batteries to supply to the OEMs as well as the replacement after-market – competing with major giants like Exide and Amaron.
