Personnel Management:
Man management and effective man power utilization to achieve economy and efficiency. Develop subordinate staff through personal contact, guidance and own professional example.

Quality Assurance:

I was involved in Vessel Chartering, Sale & Purchase, Vessel Management including Technical and Commercial operations and all other aspects relating to Marine related job especially Planning & execution of Heavy ODCs loading / discharging and Roll Off & Roll On operation of Heavy cargo Project. Responsible for Planning/Executing & Monitoring all kind of activities for Company owned Dumb Barge including maintenance, manning, survey, deployment of barge in different project, stability / lashing calculation, loading, securing, discharging of cargo etc.
I was in-charge of the Marine logistics operations at Trichy, Kolkata, Bangladesh and Agartala for the most challenging turn-key project in India till date - the prestigious 766 MW OTPC Palatana project. Total 93 pcs of ODCs ( 325 Mt being the heaviest) were transported by road from all over India to Kolkata and then through Inland waterways to Agartala via Bangladesh. The whole project activities handled by self including Chartering of merchant vessels / Lay-time calculation / Reducing demurrage & detention / Port Management etc / warehousing/road transportation of equipment through deeply crowded road from warehouse to RoRo jetty/ Roll-ON/Off operation in beached and floating condition at Uttarpara, Bangladesh and Agartala.
Establish barge scheduling and recording system that will ensure accurate recording of barge employment /idle condition analysis to make timely and precise reports for company management and future planning.
Establish safe working procedures for all areas of operation and ensure its proper implementation to avoid any incident / accident and reduce downtime.
Establish and maintain overall emergency procedures and oversee emergency
training by making periodical drills, training for the staff and further acting as a field leader for the whole project.
Preparing operational budget and maintain/improve budget limitations for the fleet to meet Companys annual objectives and standards according to business projections.

20th July 2015 to 20th April 2016 : Under the guidance of M/S Hamburg Port Consulting (HPC), Germany ( Lead Consultant ) in Joint venture with Universal Transport Consulting ( UNICONSULT ) ( Consultant), Germany, conducted research , studies and survey on Inland Water Transport ( IWT ) sector Development Strategy and Business Development for Capacity Augmentation of NW1 (National Waterway-1) in River Ganga (Jal Marg Vikas Project, Govt of India) from Haldia to Allahabad on following :
A. Market Analysis :
1. To determine the NW-1 Hinterland, Existing Transport Demand (Cargo and Passengers) within the NW-1 Hinterland, Freight Transport Patterns within the NW-1 Hinterland , the characteristics of the freight supply chain, mono and multi-modal freight flows between major economic centers within the NW-1 Hinterland,
2. The characteristics of the freight supply chain for cargo originating from or destined to and from the existing gateway ports, Current freight costs and rates (on a ton/km basis), Current freight bottlenecks, including time and other bottlenecks by transport mode and route,
3. Current operational hindrances and bottlenecks in IWT mode.
B. Market Survey includes following :
1. Analysis of transport market including cargo and passengers and investigate current and potential customer needs followed by conducting a survey of customer preferences for specific supply chains based on several key attributes of service especially: (1) price, (2) speed, (3) reliability, (4) security of cargo, and (5) availability of service (6) capacity / Supply chain review and transportation cost competitiveness including comparative analysis with road and rail with opportunities and threats/bottlenecks / The analysis and survey also included, Methodology of Investigation, Survey area, Present and potential cargo traffic through survey area, Potential and constraints of commodities transported on NW-1 and Commodity information and inputs from existing and potential users through questionnaire.
2. Provide the details as per freight structure of railway system across the various classes of commodities and provide the per ton cost of capex recovery in the identified O-D pairs in order to apply similar mechanism in IWT sector.
3. Identifying existing Industrial Zones, SEZs, Trade Hubs, Depots, Warehouses, Railheads, Sidings, Cold Chains, ICDs, CFS, along the waterway. Study possible interlinking and integrating of same to IWT mode and development of multimodal facilities to enhance modal share of IWT.
